AP Police 2026 post-wise age rules
SLPRB uses exact birth-date windows. “Below 24,” for example, means the candidate must not have attained 24 years on the cut-off date.

Education and post conditions still apply
Passing the age check does not establish complete eligibility. The six notices prescribe different qualifications:
SI posts
Civil, AR and SPF generally require a degree. Communications and PTO require the relevant technical diploma, degree or specified equivalent.
Constable and allied posts
Requirements differ among Intermediate, SSC plus specified ITI trades, technical Intermediate streams and— for Drivers—a qualifying driving licence history.
Scientific Assistant FSL
The Physical, Chemical and Biology/Serology posts require the relevant postgraduate science qualification described under post codes 61, 62 and 63.

What is the age-reckoning date for AP Police Recruitment 2026?+
All six SLPRB notifications calculate age as on 1 July 2026. Entering your present age is not enough; eligibility depends on your date of birth on that cut-off date.
What is the AP Police SI age limit in 2026?+
For post codes 11, 12, 31, 15 and 16, a general-rule candidate must have attained 21 years but must not have attained 27 years on 1 July 2026. The official DOB range is 2 July 1999 through 1 July 2005.
What is the AP Police Constable age limit in 2026?+
The general rule is 18 to below 24 years for Civil, AR, Communications and Mechanics Constable posts. Drivers use 18 to below 27 years. Fireman and Warder posts use 18 to below 32 years.
Which categories receive five years of age relaxation?+
The notices provide up to five years for eligible Andhra Pradesh-local EWS candidates and eligible AP BC Non-Creamy Layer, SC and ST candidates, subject to the required current certificates and other notification conditions.
What is the age limit for an eligible AP Police Home Guard?+
For the specified Constable post groups, an eligible serving local AP Police Home Guard must be at least 18 and below 32 years on 1 July 2026. The notice requires at least 360 days of Home Guard service during the preceding two years and continued service on the notification date.
Does the calculator include ex-servicemen and NCC instructor relaxation?+
Yes. Select the relevant route and enter documented service in completed months. The notices describe three years in addition to eligible service length. A whole-time NCC instructor must have at least six months of service. The calculator evaluates one route and does not assume separate relaxations can be stacked.
What rule applies to a widow, divorced woman or judicially separated woman?+
For female-eligible posts under Notification 91, a qualifying woman who has not remarried must be below 42 years if SC or ST, or below 37 years for other categories, as on 1 July 2026. Documentary evidence specified in the notice is required.
Is a positive calculator result final proof of eligibility?+
No. It is an age-only preliminary check. SLPRB also applies post-specific gender, local-status, education, physical, medical, service and certificate conditions. The official notification and any corrigendum control.
