Who can apply for IBPS RRB Office Assistant?
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university, proficiency in the local language prescribed for the participating RRB state or UT, and working knowledge of computers. The age calculator checks only the date-of-birth gate.
How the IBPS RRB Clerk age is counted
Age is calculated as on 1 September 2026. For the General category, a candidate must have been born not earlier than 2 September 1998 and not later than 1 September 2008. Both boundary dates are included.
The online application and fee window is 1–21 September 2026. Applying earlier or later does not change the fixed age date.

Category-wise age relaxation
Relaxations apply to the upper age limit and require the certificate or service evidence specified in the notice.
- OBC (eligible reservation category): upper age up to 31 years (+3 years).
- SC/ST: upper age up to 33 years (+5 years).
- PwBD: upper age up to 38 years (+10 years), subject to the notice and disability rules.
- Ex-servicemen and other special categories: apply the specific IBPS service formula and certificate rules; do not assume a simple addition.

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) under CRP RRBs-XV, candidates must be 18 to 28 years old as on 1 September 2026. The permitted DOB range is 2 September 1998 to 1 September 2008, both dates inclusive.
What is the IBPS RRB Clerk age limit for OBC and SC/ST?
Eligible OBC candidates get 3 years upper-age relaxation, up to 31 years. SC/ST candidates get 5 years, up to 33 years. A valid certificate and the notification conditions are required.
Is there an interview for IBPS RRB Clerk?
No. Office Assistant selection uses the online preliminary and main examinations; there is no interview for the Office Assistant post. Final merit is based on the applicable examination process.
