🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Class 10 qualification

  • • Pass Secondary School Examination (Class 10) from a recognised board.
  • • Passing marks in Mathematics and English are required.
  • • Study the prescribed local language for the selected Postal Circle up to Class 10.

Other requirements

  • • Knowledge of computers, cycling and adequate means of livelihood are required.
  • • BPM applicants must provide suitable Branch Post Office accommodation and reside in the post village before engagement.
  • • ABPM and Dak Sevak applicants must reside within the delivery jurisdiction of the concerned office.

Age relaxation

  • • General/EWS: 18–40 years; OBC: up to 43; SC/ST: up to 45; PwBD: up to 50.
  • • PwBD plus OBC and PwBD plus SC/ST relaxations are 13 and 15 years respectively, subject to the notification and valid certificates.
  • • Age is calculated on 21 September 2026, not on the date you register.
