SSC CGL 2026 post-wise age limits and DOB ranges
SSC does not use one age limit for every CGL post. Match the post in the official vacancy table to one of these four bands. All dates below are inclusive and use the official age-count date of 1 August 2026.

How category relaxation works
- OBC: 3 years beyond the selected post's upper limit.
- SC/ST: 5 years beyond the selected post's upper limit.
- PwBD: 10 years; PwBD-OBC 13 years; PwBD-SC/ST 15 years.
- EWS: no separate age relaxation; the unreserved post age band applies.
Other relaxation questions
Ex-servicemen receive 3 years after military service is deducted from actual age. Additional Group C provisions apply to eligible Central Government civilian employees and certain widowed, divorced or judicially separated women.
