SSC CPO SI age limit and DOB range

For the 2026 SSC CPO cycle, the General-category age band is 20 to 25 years as on 1 January 2026. The corresponding DOB range is 2 January 2001 to 1 January 2006, both dates inclusive.

The age result is only the first gate. SSC separately checks the bachelor’s degree, physical standards, PET/PST, medical fitness and post-specific conditions.

Education and post-specific conditions

  • •A bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent is required.
  • •Male candidates applying for Delhi Police SI need a valid driving licence for a motor cycle and car by the date prescribed in the notice.
  • •Candidates must satisfy the physical standard and endurance requirements for the selected force or Delhi Police post.
  • •Keep the degree, category, domicile and driving-licence documents ready for later verification.

SSC CPO selection process

Category-wise age relaxation

Relaxations apply to the upper age limit and require the certificate or service evidence specified in the notice.

  • OBC: +3 years on the upper age limit, up to 28 years, when the candidate meets SSC reservation conditions.
  • SC/ST: +5 years, up to 30 years.
  • Ex-servicemen and eligible J&K domicile candidates may receive the concessions listed in the SSC notice.
